Whether it’s your first time looking to buy CBD oil, or you’re re-evaluating something you’ve already purchased, there are many details to consider when choosing a CBD product:
Here at the Hemp Health, we are a representative of many CBD oil brands. Therefor, we consider it our mission to get you the best prices we can as well as the highest quality products. Here’s a list of the factors we use to evaluate each brand we work with before we buy CBD Oil:
1. Do they have a certificate of analysis available?
This shows what’s in the product as far as CBD, CBN, CBG, THC, and other chemicals. Typically the certificate of analysis contains the 3rd party testing. The two go hand in hand. As a result, many products also have a QR code to scan and find the Certificate of Analysis.
2. Do they have 3rd party testing to make sure it contains what they say it does?
This is a test for purity to make sure it doesn’t contain pesticides, herbicides, mold, etc. Hemp is generally ok, but not if it’s tainted by other chemicals.
3. Is it full spectrum vs. broad or isolate?
CBD oil can come in two different variations: Full spectrum, and broad spectrum. In a nutshell, the difference is this: Full spectrum hemp contain cannabinoids, THC, terpenes, and CBD. Broad spectrum contains all of the above, excluding THC. You can also get CBD an in isolated form.
4. Find out how it’s grown. Is it organic & is it grown responsibly?
Hemp is basically a weed. It will grow pretty much anywhere. It is highly important to ensure that products are not grown in harmful environments. For instance, if soil contains metal or oils, hemp will absorb those. Check on the certificate of analysis to get the big picture of how your hemp is grown!
5. Is the formula they use the same every time?
Many companies will buy multiple strains on the open market. If they do this, each time they manufacture it, they’ll have a different product. Some smaller companies grow it themselves, and it’s a totally different product each time. You can usually look online to find a description of where a product comes from and what the process looks like to grow it.
6. Make sure it contains what it says it contains
This detail, again, goes back to the certificate of analysis and 3rd party testing. If the oil isn’t pure and organic, the analysis should reveal this fact. As we mentioned, we only source products that have a clean certificate of analysis proven through testing.
7. If you don’t do this research yourself, buy from someone who has.
The Hemp Health started as a pharmacy. We have researched each of the products in our store to make sure that it meets all of the criteria above. We’ve got your back!
